    To submit an Interactive project (Innovation Award)

    As part of its section dedicated to interactive projects, the Festival du nouveau cinéma is actively looking for works that experiment with new audiovisual forms and innovative technological tools and devices to tell a story, express a concept and continue to determine more actively than ever tomorrow’s cinema.
    The most original and audacious projects will be presented at the Festival, and will be eligible for the Innovation Award.
    In 2011, the Innovation Prize goes to Vincent Morisset for Bla Bla and Bruno Masi and Guillaume Herbaut for the webdocumentary La Zone.

    To submit an interactive project (Web-based projects, transmedia, etc.), please provide the following:
    - One page including:  Title, author and collaborators (with short bios),  year of production,  description of the work.
    - A link, video or visual documentation.

    The Festival du nouveau cinéma proposes a series of interdisciplinary performances where artists and audiences from different backgrounds converge. Focused on the « live » quality of audiovisual and cinematic works, the performances emerge from diverse artistic practices and explore the infinite perceptual experiences of sound and image.

    In addition to our vanguard screenings, unique interactive installations, and infamous parties, MIX NYC also provides year-round community screenings, a summer media workshop for queer youth, film preservation projects, and the groundbreaking ACT UP Oral History Project.documenting how collective action transformed AIDS activism, queer identity, and health care policy in America.

    Dedicated to the exhibition and nurturing of film and video as art, Antimatter Film Festival has grown into the premier showcase of experimental cinema in western Canada. Encompassing screenings, installations, performances and media hybrids, Antimatter provides a noncompetitive festival setting in Victoria, British Columbia, free from commercial and industry agendas.

    The highest standards of curatorial practice are employed to build thematic programs of innovative film and video selected from international submissions. In addition, our annual Foreign Matter series has become the incubator for hundreds of short films, all new to North American audiences, compiled and contextualized by international curators. Reciprocally, Antimatter delivers curated programs of new Canadian work to international audiences through our Foreign Matter tours.

    14th Edition Of The Paris Festival Of Different & Experimental CinemasOrganized by the Collectif Jeune Cinema (CJC), french cooperative for film distribution, the Paris Festival of Different & Experimental Cinemas is devoted exclusively to experimental, different, avant-garde & art cinemas.

    The Paris Festival of Different and Experimental Cinemas opens an international call for entries. For its 14th edition, the festival will focus more specifically on Eastern productions.

    - Submissions are open to all recent (2011-2012) experimental films
    - Any length and format are eligible
    - All films in a language other than French must be subtitled in French (unless dialogue or commentary is unnecessary for comprehension and appreciation)
    - Each entry must be accompanied by a DVD Screener
    - Submissions must be postmarked no later than July 15th, 2012
    - No entry fee

    The Alchemy Film and Moving Image Festival is now inviting entries for short artists' films, moving image works and feature films. This year's festival will be 'traversing the wild' exploring our relationship with the natural world, how we move through the landscape, how landscape might move within us. Our open submissions strand has a focus on experimental short film and moving image work, though narrative films that show strong relevance to our theme are also most welcome.

We accept all formats, all lengths, all subject matter, and there are no submission fees. Programs are curated from newly and/or previously submitted material.
