Categories of Competition
Works will be considered for five competitive categories:
 •	Documentary Short
 •	Narrative Short
 •	Animation/ Experimental
 •	Student Production
 •	Energy Theme (works in any genre that take the theme “Energy” as a focus)
The Energy Theme
In an effort to draw attention to the complex problems and issues connecting energy, economics, the environment, and culture, we have established a category for works in any genre that take the theme “Energy” as a focus. These works should address or reflect notions of energy, or the various contexts in which it surfaces in public discourse, such as climate change/global warming, consumption, sustainability, behavior/lifestyle, fossil fuels, renewable sources, economics, politics, industry… etc.
 Awards
Modest awards have been established by the festival organizers to recognize work of exceptional accomplishment. They include a $200.00 Best of Festival award, and five $100 awards in each of the festival categories: Best Documentary Short, Best Narrative Short, Best Animation/Experimental, Best Student Work, and Best Energy Themed Project.
