2026 SEFF BINGHAMTON: Student Experimental Film Festival in Binghamton

Entry Guidelines
- Festival Date: Saturday November 14, 2026
- Entry Deadline: Tuesday October 6, 2026

The Student Experimental Film Festival in Binghamton, also known as SEFF Binghamton, is an annual film festival featuring experimental films made by student filmmakers from across the United States. Held in Binghamton, NY, the festival is organized and run by students at Binghamton University enrolled in the Curating Film & Video course offered by the Cinema department. Running since 2010, SEFF is one of several projects that Binghamton University's Cinema department organizes to celebrate its experimental roots. This year's festival will be held at the Bundy Museum, 129 Main Street. Binghamton, NY 13905.

The theme this year is Coexistence.

We are looking for films that are inspired by or can speak to the positive and/or negative sides of coexistence: harmony and dissonance. These will be the two pillars of our festival that the films will be sorted into. The films may speak to the existence of dichotomous feelings, ideas, visuals, etc. and their impact, whether the results are pleasing or discomforting. Our interpretation of such is broad! We are considering films of any length.
The festival accepts entries of works completed between August 2024 - September 2026. We accept only online screeners for submission and our screening format is digital video. If the original language is not English, please provide the work with English subtitles. If you are submitting more than one work, please fill out an entry form for each piece. Works created with, or supplemented with AI will not be considered.
There is no entry fee.

- Filmmakers will be notified via email the first week of November, 2026.
