*THE CALL FOR ENTRIES IS NOW OPEN* for the 20th edition of the Expanded Cinema Arts Festival: MONO NO AWARE XX !!

Come celebrate 20 years of MONO with us! Free to submit your work for consideration and free to attend since 2007. OPEN CALL to filmmakers and artists of the moving image whose work incorporates S8MM, 16MM, 35MM and altered light projections as part of a durational performance, instillation or sculpture. MONO is a non-competitive exhibition that provides travel stipend and accommodations for all selected persons.

Deadline: All submissions must have been received by Midnight EST US October 15th 2026

    MONO NO AWARE is not a film festival| its focus is the cinematic experience. Inspired by the unique qualities of live performance and viewing film prints, it encourages live music, theatrical performance, audio and additional visuals to accompany the film piece.
