World Cinema Carnival is fostering a vibrant and diverse community of filmmakers, producers, animators, video artists and researchers who experiment and counter the medium and language of cinema. Our thinking of curation performs beyond all subjugation and inhibitions while constantly experimenting with contextual and conceptual forms and definitions.
Our call for entries is open for moving images in all experimental forms and lengths.

In its 12th edition MINA, the Mobile Innovation Network and Association, will present a public screening of smartphone, mobile and pocket films in Melbourne, Australia at ACMI, national museum of screen culture (24th November 2023), in Ningbo, China (9th -10th December 2023) and internationally via Urban Screen TV.
MINA is the longest-running film festival dedicated to celebrating mobile and smartphone film-making internationally. MINA creates connections between filmmakers, communities and the creative industries.
For the participatory animated documentary film as part of the non-profit project "Women. From War to War" shorts are accepted. Any of the techniques, drawn or computer 2D animation, video collage, editing or 3D, whichever best conveys your author's idea. Is there an armed conflict going on in your country right now? If yes, it will be about it. If not, there could be about escalating military violence, tensions over war in neighboring countries, or dissatisfaction with a dictatorial regime, protests now.
Experimental Series - Salt Lake City (EXPS/SLC) is an experimental video/film series hosted by the School of Dance + Film & Media Arts at the University of Utah.
We especially encourage women, queer, and disabled creators whose work is rooted in experimental approaches addressing movement, dance, choreography, and/or the body to apply. Please apply if your film incorporates movement or the body, but would not typically be considered "traditional dance" (ie: "Bridges Go Round" by Shirley Clarke).

2st Pan-Cinema Experimental - Curitiba Int`l Exp. Film Fest invites artists, filmmakers, and students worldwide to submit their works! Pan-cinema Experimental is an international experimental film festival that will take place in August 2023, at Curitiba Cinematheque, Curitiba, Brazil.
We’re excited to announce that the call for submissions for our next group show is now open! The show will take place in July 2023 in Los Angeles, and is currently under the working title “Untitled Sun Valley.” The show will feature primarily film and video works, and performance.
Artists are invited to submit proposals for artworks that relate to the prompt below.
The Marienbad Film Festival, an international film festival focusing on works of an experimental nature, marginal forms of cinema, contemporary moving image, and artistic & challenging films, invites authors and authors' collectives to submit audiovisual works to two separate competitions. Festival is based in Mariánské Lázně, Czechia and it will take place on 13th-16th of July 2023.
