Films of the Future is an international film and new media festival that invites filmmakers and audiovisual creators from around the world to imagine and reflect on the possible futures of the planet, humanity, and technology.

The festival focuses on audiovisual works that address themes such as sustainability, climate change, gender equity, LGBTQIA+ diversities, and human rights, exploring new forms of coexistence between cultures, ecosystems, and technologies.

Films of the Future will take place in the cities of Los Angeles (California) and New York. From experimental cinema, fiction, and documentary to hybrid projects and immersive experiences, the festival seeks works that expand cinematic language and generate social, cultural, and environmental impact beyond the screen.

Who can apply?
Filmmakers and audiovisual creators from any country are welcome to apply.

Sections and accepted formats:
– Fiction

Short films, medium-length films, and feature films are accepted.

General guidelines:
– Works may have been completed in any year.
– Films in any language are accepted.
– Selected films may be screened in in-person screenings in Los Angeles and New York.
