dokumentART — European Film Festival in Neubrandenburg (Germany) is now accepting submissions for its 2026 edition. With a 30-year history of presenting European short films (up to 30 minutes), the festival places special emphasis on socially engaged cinema and formally daring works, including hybrid, experimental, and boundary-blurring forms.

We invite submissions from filmmakers working at the edges of documentary, fiction, animation, and hybrid/experimental practices. Curated by a team of experienced programmers connected with Berlinale, Kassel, achtung berlin and Slamdance festival seeks voices that push cinematic language into new territories while engaging with contemporary social, political, and aesthetic concerns.
