Mehrad Sepahnia

Mehrad Sepahnia is an experimental filmmaker originally from Tehran, Iran. He began his filmmaking journey with the short film "Bitter Dream" in 2008. His second short,  "Offenbarung" (2010), marked the beginning of a creative collaboration with Atefeh Kheirabadi. Together, they produced the short film "Flesh" in 2012 and continued to work as a team on future projects.

In 2012, Sepahnia was forced to emigrate to Germany, leaving behind three unfinished films. Now living in exile in Berlin, he pursued studies in media and continued developing his artistic voice within the German film landscape.
His works in Germany include "Der Erlöser" (2019), "Différance" (2019), and "Kommen und Gehen" (2020), continuing his exploration of experimental and avant-garde cinema.
