The 26th edition of the Festival des Cinémas Différents et Expérimentaux de Paris (FCDEP) takes place this year in various places around Paris from the 13th to the 20th of October 2024!
This year, 44 films from 25 countries will be presented in international competition, alongside a rich parallel program and two screenings for young audiences. The theme of this edition's Focus is "Ecology = gardening + class struggle", proposing formal and political reflections inspired by the famous slogan by Brazilian trade unionist Chico Mendes: "Ecology without class struggle is gardening". The festival will take place at several partner venues - Centre Pompidou, Cinéma Le Grand Action, Shakirail, Doc!, Laboratoires d'Aubervilliers - with a varied program of events combining experimental cinema, concerts, performances and discussions.
Before each screening, a film will be shown from the Some Strings ensemble, which unites more than a hundred filmmakers in support of the Palestinian people.
