The 35th Onion City Experimental Film Festival takes place this week, April 3-6 in Chicago.
Onion City's @onioncityfilmfest six thematic competition programs will take place at Chicago Filmmakers' Firehouse Cinema @chicagofilmmakers, with select special events taking place off site, screening rare and restored prints, and showcasing moving images in expanded formats.

Ben Russell's DIRECT ACTION presented with the Climate Crisis + Media Arts Working Group and Block Cinema. Sunday, April 6 at 12pm. A 216-minute chronicle of France's rural Notre-Dame-des-Landes commune, whose activist inhabitants live and work to protect a "Zone to Defend" against development. @nublockmuseum
REGARDING co-presented with Leisure, installs one video from a Chicago-based artist each evening of the festival in Leisure's street-facing gallery from 4-10pm. @leisure.chicago
