Barron Sherer, New Works Closing Reception, Sunday, November 10, 2024, from Noon to 3 pm ET

This is a solo exhibition of 16mm film-based works by artist Barron Sherer and will be on view by appointment and at a closing reception on November 10, 2024, at Bridge Red Studios, a venerable artists' complex in North Miami that exhibits the artwork of strong and developed artists with ties to South Florida who do not get the exposure their work merits. Sherer’s moving image work generally centers on the détournement and rerouting of archival media and assembling it with materials he creates with legacy filmmaking techniques; for this exhibition, he presents arrangements of our urban settings using contemporarily produced 16mm film elements.
