Decolonial crossings in Brazilian experimental documentary

As the Brazil-France 2025 Season showcases contemporary cultural production from Brazil in France, Refle-x-périmental presents a selection of experimental documentaries by filmmakers and visual artists, whose works explore the history and memory of coloniality and its ongoing manifestations in the present. Through filmic gestures such as narration, creation, outcry, and testimony, the films uncover both intimate and collective memories that inhabit territories haunted by the spectres of the past and future. At the same time, they construct acts of resistance and political struggle, reminding us that alternative paths remain possible.
