SELF AND OTHERS: New Frontiers of Personal Filmmaking continues our journey to discover new forms of personal filmmaking, through visions from around the world.This time, we offer a selection of works that explore the birth, evolution, and possible decline of the relationship between the filmer and others.Curiosity, complicity, confrontation, and conflict alternate in this collective program without borders.

My favorite moment is when the camera's gaze frames the person in front of me. Be this presence embodied in a face, a passerby, an animal, a shadow, or my own reflection, even if only for an instant.A real and a fictional dimension, made of glass, metal, and plastic, collide.The latter prevails, capturing the unique relationship between Self and Others in a timeless moment, staged on an undefined set. An artificially nostalgic and amateurish souvenir, a fetishized home movie portraying seasons past, vanished places, and the traces of those we have left behind. Within it, a new world crystallizes.We invite you to explore new frontiers and extremely private dimensions: a raw form of fiction unconcerned with the need to be coherent, capable of giving voice to a more interior and intuitive gaze.SELF AND OTHERS celebrates the encounter between fiction and reality, script and diary, method and improvisation, all elements that form the basis of this showcase of personal cinema.

Most of the works were produced in the last two years; the lineup features numerous films screened at full lenght and as premieres, exclusively at Borgo Santa Brigida 5/a.
