Uchronia (2026), the new feature film by Fil Ieropoulos, will have its New York premiere at the sixth edition of Prismatic Ground, following its sold-out presentations at Berlinale Forum Expanded and BFI Flare.
The screening will take place at DCTV’s Firehouse Cinema on **Thursday, April 30, 2026 at 9:30 PM, as part of a double bill:

Followed by a Q&A with writer Foivos Dousos, who will be in attendance.
Uchronia is a psychedelic docu-essay inspired by Arthur Rimbaud's "A Season in Hell".
The film follows the ghost of Arthur Rimbaud as he traverses 150 years of history, encountering revolutionary figures such as Emma Goldman, David Wojnarowicz, and Marsha P. Johnson. These encounters unfold as a multilayered cinematic collage that interrogates identity, the meaning of revolution, and the role of the artistic avant-garde.
Spanning seven languages and six historical periods, *Uchronia* brings together more than 40 characters and interwoven narrative threads. The film draws on the legacies of avant-garde and essay cinema, echoing the work of Chris Marker and Peter Watkins, as well as the surrealist and queer cinematic languages of David Lynch, Luis Buñuel, Derek Jarman, and Kenneth Anger.
The ensemble cast includes Kristof as Arthur Rimbaud and Flomaria Papadaki as Louise Michel, alongside appearances by key figures of the international avant-garde, including Eve Libertine (Crass), Marisha Triantafyllidou, and pioneering filmmaker Antoinetta Angelidi.
The film is produced by Spyros Patsouras and Fil Ieropoulos, with executive producers Charlie Kaufman, Jürgen Brüning, Marina Danezi, Foivos Dousos, and Eva H.D.
Prismatic Ground 2026 runs from April 29 to May 3 across venues including Brooklyn Academy of Music, DCTV’s Firehouse Cinema, Light Industry, Anthology Film Archives, and Metrograph, alongside an online program.
