Following its premiere at the Cairo International Film Festival and subsequent screenings across Malta, Zafzifa continues its international circulation with a special screening at Cinema Aventure, Brussels, accompanied by a Q&A with filmmaker Peter Sant.

Shot on 16mm, the film moves between fiction and observation, constructing a corrosive portrait of a man haunted by an indeterminate past, attempting to resist the systems and temporal pressures that surround him. The work engages materially with celluloid texture and duration, situating itself within contemporary experimental and essayistic film practices.
