Call for Entries for the 64th Ann Arbor Film Festival opens July 1 and runs through September 30, 2025.
The 64th Ann Arbor Film Festival will take place in person March 24–29, 2026, with Awards Programs online March 30 - April 13.
The Ann Arbor Film Festival (AAFF) is the oldest avant-garde and experimental film festival in the world, founded by George Manupelli in 1963. Internationally recognized as a premiere forum for independent filmmakers and artists, each year's festival engages audiences with remarkable cinematic experiences. The six-day festival presents 40 programs with more than 180 films from over 20 countries of all lengths and genres, including experimental, animation, documentary, fiction, and performance-based works.
AAFF provides direct support to filmmakers. In 2025, AAFF's awards competition presented approximately $39,000 to filmmakers through cash and in-kind awards that include film stock, film processing, and camera equipment rental.
