Call for entries is open

Kinoskop is a indie / niche festival, based in Belgrade, dedicated to the exploratory tendencies and experimental ways of working with celluloid in a digital era, and a showcase of imaginative works of cinema which trigger strong audio-visual stimuli and puzzling afterthoughts, rooted in the spirit of experimental, surrealist and underground cinema.

We are looking for  fiction, animation, experimental, found footage, documentary, personal cinema, DIY and punk cinema, and the esoteric and obscure, particularly supporting works coming from independent film labs from Europe and the rest of the world. Festival's focus on short cinema and usually includes one feature film. Similar to previous years, one part of the program will be centered on expanded cinema and live soundtracks, and also a slot for a q&a with guests of the festival - increasing the appeal for more european filmmakers in the program!

Films will be awarded in the categories : Grand Prix, Special Mention, Best Soundtrack, Best Live Soundtrack, Curators Award, and Audience Award. Members of the jury will be announced on our page and website.

We accept :

Super 8 /16mm/ 35mm (celulloid) > digital transfer
Found Footage (based on the analog source (also using analog photography)
Films/ videos made with the use of analog video synthesizers

Films should be made from 2022-2024.
No length limit.

Deadline for submissions is August 2nd.
