This is an open call for short films (experimental or traditional) that have themes of anti-fascist dreams and hopes. Films that show how a world that resists fascism could look like or already does look like. We had an antifascist film screening that dealt with documentaries that showed protests and documentaries about fighting oppression, now similarly we are looking for antifascist films but with the specific themes of films that can be experimental and speculative about dreams and hopes for the future, how active resistant joy and community looks like etc. This will be a part of an interdisciplinary evening with sound art and experimental music that brings people together and also speaks of antifascist themes in the second part of the evening.
The films cannot be longer than 25 minutes with exceptions granted in certain circumstances.
The submissions will open on the 21st of October and close the 26th of October We will notify participants if they are in the screening the 17th of November. This screening will take place at Millenium Film Workshop in person at the 21st of November. Submitting is free of charge but we cannot also promise people any compensation for their films.
