Hello and welcome to Blue House Film! We are holding a collaborative screening with our friends at Saint Jawn Cinema, an underground microcinema in Riverwest, Milwaukee, WI. We're currently accepting submissions for our next screening, which will be held on September 11th and September 12th, 2026.
Our name comes from a poem called "Blue House" by Lisa Chen:
"It's like the movie you were watching, the one you can't recall as well as the person who sat 92 minutes at your side, then stumbled out of the theater into his own strange choreography." Our goal is building cinematic community!
Filmmakers of any experience level and background are welcome to apply. We encourage submissions from queer, POC, neurodivergent, disabled, and female filmmakers.
For this screening:
-Your film must involve a body OR bodies, in the image, sound, or themes
-Submissions must be 15 minutes or less
-Generative A.I. cannot be used in any part of the creative process
If selected, your Film Description and Artist Bio will appear on our social media! Please be clear, concise, and write in 3rd person.
