Call for Applications

Binghamton University’s Cinema Department is accepting applications for the Master of Fine Arts program. We are dedicated to nurturing artists and creative thinkers in the expanded field of film, video and emerging moving image techologies. Our MFA program comes out of a long experimental film legacy, with courses and resources for artists working in 16mm, video art, expanded cinema, installation and more. Our graduate students take a rich combination of production and film studies courses in our department and throughout the larger university. It is a 2-year MFA program that provides tuition remission for all students as well as funding and teaching opportunities, including a new post-grad teaching position.
