We are now accepting submissions for our next editions of MicroActs, international & experimental short film screenings in London, UK.

This open call is for our first two screenings of 2027, which will take place in April & June next year in London, celebrating our 10th anniversary! Each edition will showcase a selection of unique short films across genres and from all over the world; the selected submissions will be notified which edition they are curated in. 

We are looking for short films 6mins & under, the theme & medium are open; MicroActs is looking for works that share intersectional perspectives, personal experiences and tell stories.

Alongside the in-person screening events, we have launched our streaming platform via YouTube, allowing our international filmmaker community to join in with the screening and see the films! We stream the programme for 1 week after our live screenings on our YouTube channel to give every time zone a chance to tune in for free.

Founded in 2017, MicroActs creates low-cost & accessible short film events that showcase independent artists/filmmakers from around the world and champions the weird and wonderful. MicroActs screenings take place every quarter, creating a community space for artists & filmmakers to share their work and support each other.
