Moving Waters is independently curated on behalf of Terre Verte Gallery, Altarnun, nr Launceston, Cornwall, UK

This is not a funded event, so there is no financial support available and no external organisations are in any way involved.

Moving Waters will focus upon Silent films on the theme of Water. Water in all its forms. Watery metaphors, watery stories, documentary, narrative, experimental, abstract, political, animation, environmental, mythical, local, global, emotional, activist and observational – and everything else besides.

Works will be shown muted, back to back, on looped reels on a range of monitors in the gallery space, alongside works on individual monitors by invited artists. We welcome new works and works made in the last 5 years. If sound is an integral part of your film, this opportunity is not for you. If silence is something you already work with or are keen to experiment with, then this opportunity is for you. If you have a film that you think works even when muted, then we will consider these too.

We look forward to receiving your work!
