Open Call for films about death by Finnish Death Studies Association

The Finnish Death Studies Association is issuing an open call for short films and media art works that address death, the process of dying, or encountering death in some way. Artists are free to interpret how the theme relates to their work. The call is open to all genres and forms of expression, ranging from traditional storytelling to experimental approaches. Selected works will be offered screening opportunities in Helsinki and Oulu, Finland. Please submit your work by September 11, 2026. We look forward to seeing your work!

A screening contract will be made with the selected artists.
Unfortunately, no fee can be paid for the screenings.
