Short Circuit show thought-provoking short films that have their roots in documentary. Now well established our themed screenings in Brighton invite emerging, established and award winning filmmakers to share their often unconventional approaches to documentary storytelling.

Not always something of great monetary value-what is treasure? What does it mean to ‘treasure’ something? From precious people, places, objects and memories, personal and cultural notions of worth are wide and open to interpretation. What is TREASURE to you- in all its contrasting and unexpected guises?

*Short Circuit Film is a non-profit, community event and is part of the BFI Audience Network and FilmHub SE.

    SHORT CIRCUIT is a new film night screening short experimental documentaries selected from an open call. Short Circuit shows films with an unconventional approach, works that are distinctly artist film, yet have their roots in fact or documentary.

    The screenings will be on the last Thursday of the month at Presuming Ed, Brighton.
