As part of a curating course, Binghamton University’s Cinema Department holds this festival every year. This year’s festival will take place on Friday, November 7th, and the theme is Dwellings. SEFF focuses on experimental, student-made works that challenge the conventional cinematic experience, so our filmmakers are open to interpreting the prompt as they see fit and submit a film of their choice: When you hear the word dwelling, is there a time or place that sticks out to you as memorable? One that feels unforgettable, or runs through your mind? Are you haunted by one thought or feeling? Whether it be dwelling on the past or daydreaming about the future, you may find yourself stuck reliving your happiest days or your hardest nights.
In addition, we are considering works of any length; however, we are only accepting student digital preview screeners and exhibition files (video, digital scans of films).
