the8fest 2024 Festival - Call For Submissions

We are so excited to announce that submissions are NOW OPEN for the 17th annual the8fest Small-Gauge Film Festival that will take place in 2024 in Toronto, Canada!

the8fest is on the lookout for your 8mm, Super 8, and 9.5mm films, along with other small-gauge film projects like loops and installations for our Bageroo programs. We are thrilled to host our 17th festival, which will be showcased both in-person and online in 2024.

We are accepting submissions until March 1, 2024.

To submit your films, please complete our Google form (https://forms.gle/U5xYrT4zGGd1Puic7). Please note that a physical version of your small-gauge film MUST be available to project and screen at the festival.

For any inquiries, do not hesitate to reach out to us at the8fest@gmail.com! Just remember, we're a small festival so responses can take up to 48 hours, so send in your questions early.
