The WNDX Festival of Moving Image is now accepting submissions for its 20th edition, to be held Oct 1-5, 2025.

WNDX predominantly programs short films through this open call for submissions.

We will also consider longer films, film performance and moving image installations through this open call for submissions, but due to limited programming slots, these are less likely to be selected in comparison to short films.

• As always, there will be no submission fees
• We will consider works from 2024 and 2025
• Our preference for screening copies is DCP or film print
• Prairie region (Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta) premieres will receive preference
• Results will be announced to filmmakers/artists/distributors no later than August 15, 2025
• Screened filmmakers/artists will be provided an artist fee according to the IMAA rate card
• The WNDX Festival of Moving Image programs experimental and innovative forms. We do not program conventional dramas, documentaries, music videos or TV-style work, among other conventional forms.
