    The Festival activity begins on October 15 with the publishing of the call for participation, and will end with the screening of all videos participant, scheduled for March, at headquarters of Foundation Universal Forum of Cultures, followed by the screening of 30 selected videos at CAM - Casoria Contemporary Art Museum, scheduled for April 2011.

    The Festival is made in partnership with CAM - Casoria Contemporary Art Museum.

  • Sequence #2 Call Out

    The second edition of Sequence published by no.w.here, edited by Simon Payne, will be coming out later this year. Expressions of interest are currently sought regarding articles - in the form of artists’ pages, contextual essays, interviews etc - that address ideas and debates concerning contemporar y artists’ film and video.     New Screen Newcastle is a 2-day screening programme celebrating narrative video art. The screening will take place at the Side Cinema in Newcastle UK, September 10th-11th 2011.

    Produced by NABROAD and Oslo Screen Festival in collaboration with Side Cinema. An online screening will coincide the event making the event accessible internationally.

    The Festival is open to all international videoartists. Participation is free.

    Submissions
    Is possible to send required materials for participation (video, form, image) just in one way, online
    - Filling out the form, before midnight of February, 28 2011;
    - In the form, you must be indicate an URL -8http or ftp) for downloading the video (i.e.: http://www.mydomain.com/myvideo.mov) and the still-frame from video (i.e.: Http://www.mydomain.com/myimage.jpg);
    - Is possible to use a service for big files transfer. The video and the image must be effectively available at indicated URL within the deadline.
    Don't send us link to videos hosted on YouTube, Vimeo or similar websites! They don't match our rules! We need your original artwork.

    Call for innovative new films and videos

    WNDX seeks new Canadian and international films and videos for our next edition, to be held Sept 29 to Oct 2, 2011.
    WNDX pays special attention to the most innovative and ground-breaking works created by moving image artists. In the past, WNDX has featured spotlights on George Kuchar, Steve Reinke, Barbara Sternberg, Phil Hoffman and John Price, a well as the work of the Loop Collective. Our website’s archives section provides an overview of how we program the festival.

    - Works completed in 2011 and 2010 are eligible for submission.

    Filmarmalade would like to invite artist film makers to submit film or video works for publication in our 2011 artists film and video DVD series.

    Every year Filmarmalade publish a series of films, selected through a process of invited and open submission. Each DVD includes one film only and is accompanied by a specially filmed interview with the artist.
