The international video collective Cameracartell is currently preparing  a film program and exhibition in Skopje, Macedonia, dealing with the relationship between urban space and the construction of identity.
Cameracartell is interested in video works, media art and experimental Shorts that deal in diverse artistic forms with the following subject: layers of the city as an organic construction, a process, Identity and blind spots of our perception. How does urban space create identity?

About:
We are Cameracartell, an international Artist-group, which commits itself to artistic exchange and a work dialogue in the fields of video art and experimental film. Cameracartell regularly organizes and curates film screenings and exhibitions taking place between cinema, art space, and public space. Besides, Cameracartell acts between spaces and categories by producing independent art works.

Submission procedure:

Please send your DVD until 31^st of January 2011 to:

Please send us an email with two stills of your work, a cv and a short description of the video to: office@cameracartell.com

No Video installations please, single channel works only,  videos will be presented as a single-channel projection. Works with languages other than English need to be subtitled.

DVD-Formats: PAL-DVD or NTSC-DVD, no Blue Ray DVDs.

Cameracartell will screen the videos in February 2011 and put the program together for March 2011. Cameracartell would like to keep those  works not been selected for the program, since the group is organizing film programs for various projects, and might find other occasions to show your work. Therefore, DVDs will not be sent back, if you wish otherwise, please enclose a sufficiently stamped return envelope with your full address and name on it.
