The Chicago Film Society is proud to announce dates for the third edition of Celluloid Now. From October 9th and through the 12th, CFS will present Celluloid Now 2025, a series of screenings, workshops, and other events showcasing working analog filmmakers and artists alongside archival rediscoveries and restorations.
The Busan International Video Art Festival (BIVAF) is pleased to announce the call for submissions for the upcoming 19th International Video Art Festival. The submission period will be open from June 9 to June 22, 2025.
Starting this year, the Busan International Video Art Festival will conduct separate reviews and selection processes for the "International Competition" and "Korean Competition" sections. A final prize winner will be chosen from a combined shortlist of both sections.
For the second year we are pleased to announce our OPEN CALL to all artists working with video art, experimental film and filmed performance. Artists are invited to submit their works related to the subject of the seen and unseen, what is revealed and what is concealed.
The exhibition aims to explore not only what is captured through the lens but is interested in what is missing, lost or out of shot. What the moving image chooses to show and what it refuses to reveal.
For the 14th Edition of Underneath the Floorboards we will be continue our online event, which will be screened for a four weeks by our online platform: https://www.visualcontainer.tv/ which screens worldwide to maximises our international exposure. We got over ten thousand views last time around, and this time we're aiming for more.

This “All Recipes” issue will serve as a collective resource: a curated compilation of analog media recipes, techniques, and tutorials. Drawing inspiration from Helen Hill’s legendary text Recipes for Disaster—which brought together 37 experimental filmmakers to share handcrafted, home-grown processes—we aim to foster a similar spirit of generosity, experimentation, and open exchange.
