Cinema Workshop Project, Magic Eye Audiovisual Production Company and Wild Wood Corporation invite artists, visual artists, filmmakers, professionals, students and amateurs, to present their work in Intermediations, a Video Art and Experimental Video Showcase.

The Showcase will take place in the City of Medellin, Colombia. It is a non-‐competitive event, that seeks to promote and divulge different practices surrounding audiovisual works, specifically, artistic and experimentalvideo.

Cámara Lúcida is a space of convergence for cinematographies that integrate the poetic, the sensitive and the political, defending a critical look in times of cultural homogenization. Its programming seeks not only to show cinema, but also to think about it, understanding imagination as a way to reflect on the world. Through films with singular and emancipated voices, the Encounter cultivates an empathetic and plural cinephilia, where watching films becomes an act of coexistence and a political gesture.

Rhizome DC and Filament are accepting submissions for our second-ever Film & Video Open Call. Artists and filmmakers from the DMV region are invited to submit short boundary-pushing, genre-defying, or experimental moving picture works for a screening in September 2025. Works shot or projected on film and XR (extended reality) works are encouraged to apply.

Rooted in Visual Studies Workshop's mission to provide support to experimental photo, film and media art artists, the goal of the Project Space Residency is to provide time, space, and resources to artists so they can create.
