As part of a curating course, Binghamton University’s Cinema Department holds this festival every year. This year’s festival will take place on Friday, November 7th, and the theme is Dwellings. SEFF focuses on experimental, student-made works that challenge the conventional cinematic experience, so our filmmakers are open to interpreting the prompt as they see fit and submit a film of their choice: When you hear the word dwelling, is there a time or place that sticks out to you as memorable? One that feels unforgettable, or runs through your mind?
GRAIN URBAIN is back after a successful first edition. This international experimental film festival, dedicated to urban spaces and aesthetics, is now launching its open call for the 2026 edition in Paris.
We are looking for formally inventive short-films that explore the complexity, diversity, and poetics of urban life.
LATERALE FILM FESTIVAL is an international non-competitive festival of cinematic art organized by the Associazione Culturale Laterale.

We are looking for completed moving image works ranging from 2 to 10 minutes in length, that explore:
the experience of being seen, the act of witnessing, surveillance, or observation.
The selected works will be shown in a curated screening, as a featured event of Art Weekend Budapest in late November. If selected, you will need to provide a downloadable mov or mp4 file of the work for the screening.
