As part of this year’s 2025 edition (May 23–25, Berlin), Fracto will be hosting a hands-on workshop on 16mm film and analog experimental practices. Participants will learn to make motion pictures and looping sound with a very economical tool: simple adhesive tape! Unfolding over the course of three mornings, students - armed with film leader, simple adhesive tape and a bucket of water - will learn to “paste” printed matter onto 16mm film frames, each ultimately producing a short loop (approximately ten seconds in length).

We invite artists, whether established or emerging, to submit new and recent film, video, digital or other moving image works, sound, performance and other works made for screening or live presentation for consideration for its weekly Event Series, taking place in-person and/or online. Curatorial proposals will also be considered.
For Underneath the Florboards' 14th Edition we will be continue our online event, which will be screened for a four weeks by our online platform: https://www.visualcontainer.tv/ which screens worldwide to maximises our international exposure. We got over ten thousand views last time around, and this time we're aiming for more.

Experimental Superstars is an international festival of experimental films.
We accept experimental films, experimental documentaries, and music videos that utilize film techniques, including dance film, animation, and other experimental approaches. While we are not a large festival, we boast a dedicated audience and a versatile, high-quality program.
Only works suitable for screening will be considered for selection; video installations are not accepted.
