The Écran Libre New Media Festival is now accepting submissions for its 2025 edition. We're seeking innovative, experimental, and genre-defying work at the intersection of image, sound, and technology — with a primary focus on video-based practices. This year's program will be largely dedicated to screen-based works, including video art, digital storytelling, experimental film, and other time-based media.

The festival will be presented in a hybrid format — combining an online streaming platform for remote audiences alongside a live, in-person program at La Fab Sur Mill in Chelsea, QC.

Most selected works will be screened both in person during the festival and streamed online. A limited number of  installation-based works and live performances will also be presented as part of the in-person program.

  • Experimental film & video art

  • Audio-visual installation
  • Web-based or interactive works
  •
Cross-disciplinary performance

We are also looking for jury members to be part of the selection process at the end of the submission period.
