    Call out for films and videos submissions for UNCANNY the psychological experience of something as ‘strangely familiar yet simultaneously foreign’

    Short Circuit is looking for an eclectic mix of experimental documentary shorts for their next screening that consider the uncanny whether an ability, a likeness, a knack  or beyond-if you have work that you think fits broadly into this theme send it to us for consideration at shortcircuitopencall@gmail.com with a link to your film online (and password if required) Include a short description of where it fits with the theme and jpeg still.

  • Atelier 105 - Post-production residency for video - First commission 2018

    The Atelier 105 artist residencies are dedicated to video-based post-production of films that fall within the realm of experimental cinema, with the objective of supporting ten to fifteen projects per year.

    Submissions are now open for the first residency session of 2018 (January 29 to June 1). The application deadline is Friday, December 15 (midnight).
    (However, please note that the session will be closed when the quota of 30 submissions has been reached)

  • We Invented Nothing Open Call

    We Invented Nothing is an open call created for a BAM film festival organised by Bierumer School art residency in Bierum, The Netherlands. 

    With this open call two artists - Julija Paškevičiūtė and Liza Kovalenko are offering you a little creative detour/dérive. They are applying to your own creations/your personal video/image/sound archive. Popwalk is a smartphone app for exhibiting "Site Specific Digital Art" it allows filmakers to exhibit films that are meant to be site-specific, in other words only seen in a specific location.
