Originally from Chile, Malena Szlam Salazar lives and works in Montreal. A member of the Double Negative Collective, she is a visual artist whose practice is situated at the intersection between cinema and installation art. Her work has been presented at the Festival du nouveau cinema, Images Festival, the NYFF's Views from the Avant-Garde and the Ann Arbor Film Festival, among others.
