Analog Cookbook is excited to announce submissions for Issue 10: Resistance!
As makers, we have long felt that analog film and photography are more than just mediums or aesthetics. They are spaces where communities are built, histories are preserved, and alternative futures can be imagined. At a moment marked by the growing rise of fascism in the United States and abroad, we are interested in how analog image-making can function as a site of resistance. What new worlds can analog filmmaking and photography offer us? How might slowness, materiality, human touch, and collective creativity help us reconnect with one another at a time when art, care, and genuine connection feel more necessary than ever?
From July 1st to July 31st, we invite analog work that navigates anti-imperialism, anti-colonialism, imagining radical futures, protest, dismantling facism, queerness, intersectionality, crip/disability, sex work, sustainability, land and identity, sustainable image-making practices, and beyond. We welcome moving-image film, photography, audio, installation, alt processes, recipes, essays, interviews, and how-to guides.
Analog Cookbook is a nonprofit run at cost. We suggest a $5 donation, but it’s pay-what-you-can. No one should feel unable to submit due to cost. All donations will go towards paying featured artists and the printing costs of the issue.
