    Berwick Visual Arts and Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival are pleased to announce that applications are now open for our annual artist's residency. The residency is for a six-month period beginning in April 2017 and is an opportunity for an artist with a moving image-based practice to create a new work to be premiered at Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival between 20th and 24th September 2017.

    The curatorial team of aCinema welcomes you to submit your work to aDifferent Festival! aDifferent Festival is a series of programs showcasing short works of media art over two days in late February.  All genres and media including video, installation, new media performance, and film are welcome. We are looking for works under 20 minutes and made after 2014, but contact us via email (acinemaspace@gmail.com) if you have a piece that falls outside of these parameters that you feel we should consider.

    Underneath the Floorboards is an experimental film festival held in London buzzing artistic area of Hackney where everything that is non-linear and not of a traditional narrative sense will be considered.

    No bias, no prejudice if you didn't study in the most prestigious art schools, we don't care, we just want to see work that is of an artistic nature and that creates an interesting language of its own.

    Retro-exotic Videodanse is a new dance video event in Montréal curated by Kim-Sanh Châu and Guillaume Vallée, presented by Studio 303. This event will take place at Studio 303 as part of Nuit Blanche Montréal.

    We are looking for short dance videos dealing with the concepts of time and space, in a short format. Invite us on a journey of escape!

    Brand New Blinkers is a London based short film night. No categories, only quality moving image. We screen a diverse collection of films without boundaries. Come and see.
    We’re geared towards the odd, DIY, experimental, strange, but our rule is that there are no rules, so who knows? If you think your film doesn’t quite sit in a category or genre neatly, then perhaps it is perfect for Brand New Blinkers.

    The current theme is Big & Small.

Further more, the most eye and mind-bending films will make it to the Delete TV Screenings all over Europe.

    Delete TV investigates the captivating nature of images with the specific aim to look up to new approaches by taking distance from the conventional film making method.

    MECONIO (Muestra de Nuevos Cineastas) lanza su primera convocatoria pública y abierta a todo tipo de propuestas que transgredan el lenguaje y los principios del cine convencional, independientemente de su formato, género o país de procedencia.

    Buscan obras que compartan la pasión por explorar nuevas fronteras cinematográficas y cuestionar sus límites. Meconio es una muestra de cine no competitiva con el objetivo de proporcionar difusión a las obras seleccionadas a través de su exhibición. Pueden presentar sus trabajos, autores de cualquier nacionalidad, menores de 35 años.

    OSCILLATION TRANSIA FILM FESTIVAL (OTFF)  celebrating one wild idea: 

    to travel America self sustainably out of the back of a car, sharing innovative films in some of the most inspirational places in the United States.

    Combining the love for nature and outdoor cinema, OTFF will be screening works in national parks and rural areas around the U.S. Films will be exploring themes of movement, nomadic living, adventure and the natural world.

    Blacklight Film + Video Series is currently seeking submissions for the upcoming Trouble Found Me film screening on October 16th, 2016 at Sediment Arts in Richmond, VA.

    We are seeking narrative short films that touch on subjects of broken innocence / shattering of the adolescent bubble. Bad Dreams. Bad Ideas. Poor Execution. Themes of the paranormal welcome, given the season!
