FOURTH INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF ANALOG EXPERIMENTAL CINEMA - KINOSKOP October 28-31st 2022 / Yugoslav Film Archive
Kinoskop is a indie / niche festival, based in Belgrade, dedicated to the exploratory tendencies and experimental ways of working with celluloid in a digital era, and a showcase of imaginative works of cinema which trigger strong audio-visual stimuli and puzzling afterthoughts, rooted in the spirit of experimental, surrealist and underground cinema.
Diorama Room Arts is seeking micro-short films/videos, from around the world, that focus on a dialogue between humans and nature, for its autumn Tune in to Green online exhibition with a one-night live screening in Austin, Texas, USA, at the end of October. The exhibition will be available for rent at Vimeo On Demand from September 1-November 30, 2022.
Short Circuit show thought-provoking short films that have their roots in documentary. Now well established our themed screenings in Brighton invite emerging, established and award winning artists and filmmakers to share their often unconventional approaches to documentary storytelling.
We are seeking submissions for ON PERFORMANCE an Autumn screening of experimental short films that draw attention to the trials and triumphs, vision and execution of 'the performance' in all its contrasting and unexpected guises.
With great joy we are back for new inventions and cinematographic reflections, opening the call for submissions for the 8th edition of DOBRA – International Experimental Film Festival.
We know that experimental cinema, while a power of creativity and synthesis, brings important answers to the questions that affect us. In order to be in contact with creative artists from all over the world, we launch a new call for films and audiovisual works, redoubling the contemporary web that unites us through the multiple creations and poetics of experimental cinema.
As we are setting up the 7th edition of FRACTO Experimental Film Encounter, we would like to remind you that the SUBMISSION CALL for 2023 is now open. We encourage all international filmmakers and artists to tune in and submit their recent works!

- Every filmmaker may submit up to two films - Films must have been completed after the 1st of January, 2022 - All formats are accepted: celluloid (S8, 16MM, 35MM ) or digital - Both short and feature films

Como una forma de redefinirse a través de la indefinición, el programa espera explorar el carácter fluido y orgánico del género, la identidad y la espiritualidad dentro de la voz queer colectiva como una comunidad unificada. Siendo esta una experiencia que es vulnerable a un universo heteronormativo que sacrifica estos cuerpos distintos como consecuencia de su manifestación.

Mire's annual festival, Prisme #5, highlighting an inventive and engaged contemporary analog cinema, interacting with other practices : photographic, visual, sound & performative arts, will take place from Wednesday November 30th to Sunday December 4th of 2022 in Nantes and around (France).
To make up the program of this 5th edition, we are looking for : – recent films shot on celluloid (2019 and later) – moving image installations – expanded cinema performances.

The International Videoart Festival CUVO launches a new open call for his seventh edition titled “[An]Ecstasy”. This year we want to ponder about the abscence of pain in which philosopher Byung-Chul Han has called paliative societies.
We are open to any creation regardles of format, technique or genre. We'll select eight of the most groundbreaking videoart works that will shape the travelling exhibition of the festival along 2023.

All applicants will be informed about the outcome of their submission by August 1st 2022. Filmmakers, dance artists, animators, visual artists and digital art makers are invited to submit their works for the International and Romanian Short Film Competitions of BIDFF – Bucharest International Dance Film Festival.
