For the second year we are pleased to announce our OPEN CALL to all artists working with video art, experimental film and filmed performance. Artists are invited to submit their works related to the subject of the seen and unseen, what is revealed and what is concealed.
The exhibition aims to explore not only what is captured through the lens but is interested in what is missing, lost or out of shot. What the moving image chooses to show and what it refuses to reveal.
For the 14th Edition of Underneath the Floorboards we will be continue our online event, which will be screened for a four weeks by our online platform: https://www.visualcontainer.tv/ which screens worldwide to maximises our international exposure. We got over ten thousand views last time around, and this time we're aiming for more.
We wil also be showing our event online in Tarbes in August!

Drawing inspiration from Helen Hill’s legendary text Recipes for Disaster—which brought together 37 experimental filmmakers to share handcrafted, home-grown processes—we aim to foster a similar spirit of generosity, experimentation, and open exchange.

Cámara Lúcida is a space of convergence for cinematographies that integrate the poetic, the sensitive and the political, defending a critical look in times of cultural homogenization. Its programming seeks not only to show cinema, but also to think about it, understanding imagination as a way to reflect on the world. Through films with singular and emancipated voices, the Encounter cultivates an empathetic and plural cinephilia, where watching films becomes an act of coexistence and a political gesture.
