Aaron Zeghers is a Canadian filmmaker, film programmer, writer and educator from Winnipeg, now living in Montreal. Zeghers works primarily as an experimental and non-fiction filmmaker, utilizing found images and histories, analog formats and obsolete technologies. His form-bending documentaries and expanded cinema performances blend the formally experimental with the intimately personal.

Zeghers’ films have screened at festivals and venues around the world including International Film Festival Rotterdam, Sheffield Doc/Fest, Vancouver IFF, Ann Arbor Film Festival, Festival du nouveau cinéma, DOXA Film Festival, and New York’s Mono No Aware. Zeghers has also toured widely with his work, performing his expanded cinema work in Rotterdam, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Oakland, Chicago, Vancouver, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Toronto and more. As a film programmer, is a co-founder of the Winnipeg Underground Film Festival and the former Festival Director for the Gimli International Film Festival, Manitoba’s largest film festival. He is currently an Instructor at the Digital Film & Media Production Diploma Program at RRC Polytech in Winnipeg.
