Petra Graf & James Edmonds are visual artists from Austria and England, currently based in Berlin. As a duo they create site-specific installations, performances, films and sounds. In their collaborative films they explore everyday phenomena with an intuitive eye, drawing formal connections between spaces, environments and objects with a quiet sensitivity which is both meditative and structured.
For this program they will show a combination of their individual works alongside recent collaborations including a work in progress shot while on residency at MIRE, Nantes last year.

Petra Graf trained as a media designer in Austria and has lived in Berlin since 2009. She is an interdisciplinary artist with experience in many forms of expression, including site-specific temporary installations made from found materials, photography, film, and performance. With her project Grass Harp, she founded an ongoing series of exhibitions, events, and artist editions in 2016.

James Edmonds is an artist and filmmaker from England, currently living in Berlin. His work is driven by personal observations and a poetic approach to the everyday that is both formalistic and lyrical. His films have been shown at various international festivals including TIFF Toronto, NYFF New York, First Look at MoMI New York, Ann Arbor Film Festival, Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen, Curtas Vila do Conde, Open City London, FICUNAM Mexico City, and EXiS Seoul. Alongside cinematic works he creates paintings and installations, texts, poems and music. He also teaches workshops in various art fields, and organises occasional film screenings and exhibitions.
