PROCESO DE ERROR is a non-competitive international festival focused on experimental video. Since 2014, it has taken place in Valparaíso, Chile, with screenings held in cinemas, museums, cultural venues, on a boat over the sea, and in various international locations.Organized by INVE, Experimental Arts Platform — a creative, horizontal space grounded in mutual support — the festival embodies a collaborative spirit. Its aim is to bring these types of works closer to the general public, as well as to creators, thinkers, and enthusiasts of cinema and expanded arts.
We are committed to fostering connections around experimental cinema and its critical reflection within global sociopolitical contexts. The festival is a space of encounter, presenting both single-channel and expanded cinema pieces, as well as offering free workshops and talks (with prior registration).
During the week leading up to the festival, we host LAB PDE, a creative residency whose works premiere during the official days of the event.
PROCESO DE ERROR is an invitation to make, watch, and reflect on cinema and its infinite manifestations — all within a safe space grounded in mutual care and shared critical thought.
