Experimental Film and Video Festival in Seoul, a.k.a EXiS is now calling for entries to the competitions of its 22nd edition. We value artists’ films made with an original vision that take challenges and aesthetic adventures.

The Marienbad Film Festival is an international film festival based in Mariánské Lázně (Czechia) focusing on works of an experimental nature, marginal forms of cinema, contemporary moving image, and artistic & challenging films. It creates an opportunity for independent and experimental filmmakers and artists using the moving image to meet, but also aims to make more challenging films accessible to a wider audience.
The West Virginia Mountaineer Short Film Festival invites submissions in video/film, animation, VR, video installation & performance to its 12th edition, which takes place April 10 – 12, 2025 on the campus of West Virginia University. We’re looking for innovative, provocative, highly charged and deeply personal works in a variety of genres and exploring multiple themes. This year we also welcome submissions to a special thematic category, exploring new insights into evolving definitions and understandings of Space, in all of its many contexts.
For our 14th Edition we will be continue our online event, which will be screened for a two weeks by our online platform: https://www.visualcontainer.tv/ which screens worldwide to maximises our international exposure. We got over ten thousand views last time around, and this time we're aiming for more.
After a very successful first year, the second edition of Elevation Film Festivalwill return to Maker Heights (Cornwall, UK) on 6-7 September 2025. Earlybird submission deadline January 31st 2025, final submission deadline March 31st 2025.

The UCLA Film & Television Archive’s Artist-in-Residence Program will host an emerging artist for two weeks on-site at the Archive’s locations in Santa Clarita at the Packard Humanities Institute and in Westwood on the UCLA campus during the late spring of 2025 to activate the Archive’s collection in their artistic practice. The 2025 artist-in-residence will work exclusively with one or a combination of three specific collections: the Hearst Metrotone News Collection, In the Life LGBTQ+ Collection and KTLA Newsfilm Collection.
Living With Buildings is a film screening that explore themes of people, poetry and place to understand how we live within the built environment of cities and urban spaces.
We’re open to work across the short/poetry-film/experimental/documentary strands of film-making.
Past work has focussed on how we move through streets, the decline of social housing and the rise gentrification, roads to nowhere, and the space in between.
