SCFA Visual Music Festival 2025 @ The University of Kentucky
The Singletary Center presents the inaugural Visual Music Festival in the SCFA Recital Hall. Join us for a day of dynamic expressions of abstract art featuring a curated program of multimedia works from an international collection of contemporary artists. Experience the harmonies of light and sound as we explore what goes on in the mind while listening to music!
Animate Projects is on the hunt for single screen, experimental animation, made by artists and animators based anywhere in the world. The work should broadly reflect or respond to the world today – community, activism, protest – urging us to become agents of a future, better world.
The Animate OPEN is a partnership between Animate Projects and QUAD, Derby. The exhibition will launch in February 2025, as part of QUAD’s current programme, New Worlds, New Discoveries. We also plan to screen the works with other partners, in cinema and gallery spaces.
For Underneath the Floorboards' 10th Edition we will be continue our online event, which will be screened for a two weeks by our online platform: https://www.visualcontainer.tv/ which screens worldwide and got over ten thousand views last time around, and this time we're aiming for more.
The Artifact Small Format Film Festival (formerly the $100 Film Festival) is Calgary’s oldest film festival, and one of the few remaining festivals to project Super 8 and 16mm films.
We are seeking creative moving image artists to participate in an exciting new project! This unique opportunity invites you to create a short video art piece without sound. The visuals you produce will be played along an immersive sound-walk installation, created by an artist that collaborated with the movement Worldwide Friends, a nonprofit organization promoting nature protection, peace oriented activities, friendship, and international understanding among people.

We’re looking for anything that fits the broad, diverse definitions of experimental or avant-garde cinema, from lyrical to collage to structural to expanded cinema. Your film might include visual experimentation, it might be process-oriented, it might provoke visceral reactions. If it’s thought-provoking, mind-boggling, and eye-opening, we’d love to see it.

Basement Films’ annual international film festival is proud to announce our call for submissions for our next edition of Experiments in Cinema v20.0 (April 16-20, 2025). EIC will take place at the Guild Cinema in Albuquerque, New Mexico and will consist of film screenings, lectures, special curated programs, live cinema events as well as workshops.
