Curated by Michael Woods & featuring a program by Mono no aware the Gowanus Experimental Filmfest (April 3 – 5) will consist of three screenings “Mono No Aware Spring Mix 2015″, “Gowanus Underground” & “Brooklyn Zoo” featuring the work of: Bobby Abate, Michelle Chu, Sarah Dahnke, Jimmy Ferguson, Lorenzo Gattorna, Steve Girard, Jason Halprin, Nick Heppding, Bryn Jackson, Josh Lewis, Simon Liu, Keith Miller, Michael Robinson, Margaret Rorison, Joel Schlemowitz, Cassandra Sechler, MM Serra, Jessie Stead, Mark Street and many others.
Belgian experimental film festival L’Âge d’or 'returns' to Brussels on October 8-14. 'Reviving the spirit' of the EXPRMNTL festival will present twenty-three films in competition as well as programmes dedicated to and with the presence of Birgit Hein (president of the jury), Gustav Deutsch (who will also deliver a masterclass), Friedl vom Gröller, Matthias Müller and Christoph Girardet, Robert Todd and John Smith. Mark Webber, editor of the recently published anthology of writings by Gregory Markopoulos will introduce two programmes of his works with new prints. The festival will also pay homage to Stephen Dwoskin and Adolfas Mekas and present curated programmes dedicated to the Italian avant-garde, and a double selection of “ethnographic poems”, with works by Raymonde Carasco and Robert Gardner.

The Festival du nouveau cinéma is pleased and excited to reveal its FNC Labprogram of performances for its 43rd edition. The Lab engages in the exploration of experimental, extended and multidisciplinary cinematic forms. Events occur at the intersection of the arts and other forms of creative expression: activities in theaters and elsewhere, online and off the beaten path, sparking invaluable moments of connection between artists and the public.
The 16th edition of the Paris Festival for Different and Experimental Cinemas will take place in Paris and nearby from the 11th until the 26th of October. On top of the presentation the International Competition programs made out of a selection of 58 films from 25 countries, this edition will focus on the relations between music and experimental cinema.
We will have the great pleasure to welcome many filmmakers (Martha Colburn, Patrick Bokanowski, Patrice Kirchhofer, Robert Cahen, Xavier Christiaens,...) and musicians (Scorpion Violente, Magic Malik, Joana Preiss, Alexandre Yterce, Lionel Marchetti, HeadWar,...) who will intervene during 13 screenings, cine-concert, performances, installations and public discussions.
