Colonial history lies not in the past. It shapes how we remember and what we know in the present. The film series, Decolonial Visions in Diaspora Cinema, proposes alternatives to colonial knowledge formations through the work of Asian diasporic filmmakers. Together, the select screenings offer the moving image as a site of decolonial cultural and memory practice.
