The new Oberhausen distribution programme is here
K-pop, cinema, music videos and more in 32 new short works

The new distribution catalogue of the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen is now online. 32 new acquisitions from the 2025 festival programmes and new thematic compilations are now available for non-commercial distribution. Animated films from Germany, the winners of the Grand Prize of the City of Oberhausen from 2020 to 2024, the nominees for the MuVi Prize 2025 and 18 selected MuVi Award winners from 2016 to 2024 are now available, as are the most interesting films from this year's German and International Competitions and selected award-winning films from the 71st Festival.

Reflections on cinema spaces from the United Kingdom to Cambodia, work and migration in Germany, Russian history, or trauma and how to cope with it, the role of women in the K-pop industry or the intertwining of commerce and creativity in the art world: the topics are as diverse as the formats, which range from AI-generated works to found footage documentaries to classic fiction and experimental films. New in distribution are two programmes featuring award winners from recent years – the winners of the Grand Prize of the City of Oberhausen from 2020 to 2024 and selected MuVi Award winners from 2016 to 2024. Oberhausen also continues its “Made in Germany” series with a compilation of outstanding German animated films from 2006 to 2025. All candidates for the 2025 MuVi Award, with a bonus video from the international MuVi programme, are also available for rental now.

The Kurzfilmtage distribution service operates on a non-commercial and international basis. Interested venues can put together their own programmes or borrow ready-made feature-length compilations and show them online or on site. Clips from the films are now available on the Festival website, with works particularly suitable as supporting films marked separately. In addition to the new acquisitions, older programmes with children's films and earlier editions of the “Made in Germany” series remain available for rental.
