The 15th edition of the (S8) Mostra de Cinema Periférico (A Coruña, Spain) will start with an homage to the late American filmmaker Kenneth Anger, a renowned figure in occult and esoteric themes on film. The festival's image draws inspiration from Tarot cards like The Magician, Strength, and The Wheel of Fortune - symbols that connect to Anger's exploration of magic and mysticism.

The (S8) International Peripheral Film Festival (Mostra Internacional de Cinema Periférico) of A Coruña unveiled much of its programme. The festival will be held from next 27 May to 5 June in venues like the Domus, the Luis Seoane Foundation, the Palexco Hall and the Port of A Coruña.
In the words of the director, Ángel Rueda, "The festival works in the present for the future, which is why we are presenting a festival this time in which we are working for new audiences with the aim of bringing young people from the small screen to the big one, shifting from individualism to the collective experience of the cinema theatre."

For its 12th edition, which will be held between May 28 and June 6, (S8) Mostra Internacional de Cinema Periférico returns to the movie theaters with renewed strength while keeping a dual online/on-site format, offering, for another year, a comprehensive selection of online contents devoted to contribute to the dissemination of cinema. For 2021, the festival has curated a program that brings together some of the most stimulating names in the contemporary scene of experimental cinema.

From September 27-October 3, (S8) Mostra Internacional de Cinema Periférico will celebrate its 11th edition introducing a new dual format. The festival will include a number of performances, gatherings, and film screenings that will be complemented with a selection of contents exclusively designed to be enjoyed online –a complete Internet-based offer that will be available on (S8)’s website and social media sites.
