Leighton Pierce born John Leighton Pierce (27 October 1954, Rochester, NY) is an American experimental filmmaker who works with film, video, sound, and installation. He is also the Dean of the School of Film/Video at CalArts since the summer of 2014. He is best known for his impressionistic technique in video imagery that creates a hypnotic effect as well as his use of sound design. The motif of water is dominant in his work and gave the name to the video series “Memories of Water”.

James Robertson Jennings, usually referred to professionally as Jim Jennings (b. 1951), is an American experimental filmmaker and photographer. His films have been screened at some dozen solo shows in the United States and Europe, from the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and the  San Francisco Cinematheque to the Oberhausen Film Festival in Germany, International Film Festival Rotterdam in the Netherlands and the Viennale in Austria.

Arthur Cantrill and Corinne Cantrill (born in Sydney, Australia, in 1938 and 1928 respectively) have made more than a hundred films since 1960. Their work covers different forms and genres: documentary, experimental cinema, expanded cinema, performance and sound art. They meet in the late fifties in Brisbane and since then they share a long and prolific personal and artistic relationship.

Elizabeth Block is a filmmaker, an artist, and an award-winning writer of poetry and fiction. Her writing has been published in a variety of literary journals and magazines, and on the internet. Her writing includes the novel, A Gesture through Time, a hybrid work of prose, poetry, textual flip book, and scripted story of obsessive/ambiguous love, death, and unusual cinematic history.
