The Institute for Applied Creativity (IAC) at Texas A&M University proudly announces the call for submissions for Texas Inter-Media Experience (TIME) Fest!
TIME Fest exists at the intersection of art, technology, and storytelling. Our mission is to showcase innovative film and media through screenings and live experiences, fostering community, experimentation, and bold creative risk-taking across Texas and beyond.
(blank) Experimental Film Festival is kickstarting its inaugural first edition in Singapore. In collaboration with the BIDEODROMO Experimental Film Festival in Bilbao, Spain, the festival aims to provide a platform for experimental films in Southeast Asia, while establishing a meaningful bridge to the European experimental circuit, providing the artists opportunities in two markets.
The experimental in cinema is subversive and has no image but itself. Beyond being personal, artistic, home made, pure, avant-garde, poetic, absurd, underground or metaphoric, the experimental cinema is a game and a mastering of the image as it is. A clearance that refers the movie to its own form and free it from boundaries of the narration to offer a perceptive connection between the film and the public. Clandestine and still too rare on the theatres, those films look at the self matter of the cinema.
We are now assembling the next collection of strange and experimental films from Southern California for The New Film Underrground Volume 15 showcase. Send us your strange, your surreal and your abstract short films, so they can be included in this undergrround cinema celebration taking place in Hollywood this July.
Films must be 15 min. or less. Filmmakers must be based in Southern Califorrnia.
Submissions for the 9th edition of FRACTO Experimental Film Encounter are now open!
FRACTO will take place in Berlin at the end of May 2026. We invite artists and filmmakers from all backgrounds to share their recent film works with us.
Submission Guidelines: – Each filmmaker may submit up to two works – We accept short and mid-length films ( approx. 40 minutes) and performance-based expanded cinema proposals – Eligible works must be completed after January 1, 2024 – The submission deadline is April 10th, 2026
SET Film Festival is a grassroots, international platform for contemporary, artist and archival film run by SET, a London-based contemporary arts organisation and registered charity.
Founded in 2023 and curated by Amina Ali, Ellie Dobbs and Verity Monroe, the festival presents experimental practices and emerging voices outside conventional exhibition and distribution contexts.

Co-founded by Golden Bear winning director Adina Pintilie in 2010, Bucharest International Experimental Film Festival is an annual event dedicated to experimental films and visual arts. BIEFF aims to promote highly innovative films and filmmakers with strong personal views on contemporary reality, which also daringly explore the boundaries of cinematic language.
