L’Alternativa, Barcelona Independent Film Festival, celebrates its 33rd edition this year. We offer filmgoers, filmmakers and industry professionals a unique opportunity to discover and enjoy screenings and activities that value creative freedom, diversity, innovation, commitment and thought-provoking reflection.
Deep Focus invites a new round of submissions for films reflecting on the tensions between creation, destruction and de-construction. Unbuild/Unbuilt proposes to look at ways in which the components of a structure are removed from it one by one, putting said structure, be it anything from architectures to epistemologies, ideologies and relations, through a process of transformation or complete renewal. And when everything is removed, or nothing has been created yet, what occupies that state of potentiality?
Our Extended Deadline is now open till the 25th of March;
For our 15th Edition we will be continue our online event, which will be screened for a four weeks by our online platform: https://www.visualcontainer.tv/ which screens worldwide to maximises our international exposure. We got over ten thousand views last time around, and this time we're aiming for more.
